A Plan to Achieve
Long-term Sustainable Support for the Forks Pool
Construction is
underway on the new Quillayute Valley Community Center.82% of the cost of this project is being funded by a grant
from CDBG (Community Development Block Grants), which is primarily
awarded to benefit low to moderate income families.11% is being paid for by the QV Park and Recreation District
with the final 7% from the City of Forks.
The approximately
4500 square foot building, which will be owned and operated by the
QV Parks and Recreation District, will have office space, a kitchen,
dining/meeting room and multi-purpose space.Completion is scheduled for mid to late summer.
A
while back we took an informal survey of some of our community's elementary aged
students, and we just wanted to share what they had to say about re-opening our community's
pool. Many of them felt the need to add some really nice pictures. We hope you
enjoy them as much as we have. A great big thank you goes out to all the kids
for doing such a fine job!
